Ethical Oversight & Strategic Advisory Body
The Council of Sages (CS) is AWB’s advisory and ethical oversight body, composed of experienced individuals with deep knowledge in governance, diplomacy, academia, and community leadership. The Council plays a key role in guiding AWB’s leadership, ensuring that the movement remains aligned with its Pan-African mission, ethical standards, and long-term sustainability.
As a non-executive body, the Council of Sages acts as a moral and strategic compass, offering expertise on key issues and providing advice on organizational development, leadership ethics, and policy direction. The Council also serves as a conflict resolution entity, mediating disputes and ensuring that AWB’s governance remains fair and just.

Responsibilities of the Council of Sages:
Advising the Executive Board: Offering insights on governance, strategy, and ethics.
Ensuring Union Stability: Strengthening AWB’s long-term structure and resilience.
Upholding AWB’s Core Values: Promoting transparency, accountability, and collective progress.
Conflict Resolution: Mediating disputes to maintain unity within the Union.
The Council of Sages includes former AWB leaders, distinguished Pan-African thinkers, and experienced professionals, ensuring that the organization benefits from wisdom, experience, and long-term strategic foresight. Through their advisory role, the Council helps secure AWB’s future, ensuring it remains a respected and impactful force for African progress.
